Tasks
E2E System and Digital Service development
- Define the regulatory remote monitoring system E2E development timeline, set project milestones, and coordinate activities to meet tight schedules.
- Define the remote monitoring system E2E concept and develop systematic solutions for different MB.OS platforms.
- Define functional requirements, change requests, KPIs, and documentation requirements in MBSE (DNG).
- Define system functions based on functional requirements, such as Customer Function Effect Chains.
- Define requirements for partner components and align functional requirements with related components.
- Track feature implementation, progress, challenges, and next steps to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Define data transmission paths and digital service technical concepts and requirements.
- Lead technical discussions and joint development with TCU, MIC, and BB teams to define requirements and interfaces.
- Estimate and report expected development completion times.
System Validation
- Lead joint testing of the digital service and off-board subsystem.
- Define subsystem-level test concepts, test cases, and KPIs, and work with SFO and software developers on realization and performance improvement.
- Analyze relevant data to identify defects, refine requirements, and drive issue resolution.
Standard monitoring and analysis
- Technically clarify and review Chinese remote monitoring regulation standards while collaborating with R&D partners.
- Lead system upgrades following new GB/T requirements and local standards.
Supporting and Coaching to Project Members
- Instruct project members on tasks, change requests, and validation.
- Provide project members with systematic requirements and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related major.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal guidance, remain self-motivated, and prioritize conflicting demands effectively.
- Experience with system architecture, system element and component design, functional and non-functional design; software architecture design experience is beneficial.
- Knowledge of requirements analysis, development, documentation, and requirements management.
- Ability to solve problems, formulate solutions, and drive them through to validated delivery.
- Very organized, structured, proactive, self-responsible, and willing to take initiative.
- More than five years of Mercedes-Benz-related experience in E/E systems, telematics services, or OBD component development, validation, and release; digital system function experience is preferred.
- Experience with function or service development and backend development at Mercedes-Benz is preferred.
- Chinese native speaker with fluent English; German is beneficial.
- Good understanding of vehicle E/E architecture, OBD development, and MIC/backend development.
- Familiarity with E/E system and ECU software development processes, with a foundation in functional safety (HARA) and information security.
- Knowledge of BMS, E-Motor, central controller, T-Box, FlexRay, Ethernet, SOME/IP, CAN, LIN, and diagnostic tools such as CANoe, INCA, and DTS.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
