Failure Analysis Process Engineer

Join the newly established Prevention, Failure Analysis & QM-System Team in the Quality Department. The team analyzes and corrects failures in series production, manages quality approvals, and handles Quality System topics from analysis and corrective-action development through effectiveness monitoring and lessons learned.

The team also leads plant quality review committees and synchronizes quality topics across departments and other plants worldwide.

Tasks

• Independently conduct complex analyses on product and process issues, initiate corrective actions, manage them through implementation and effectiveness monitoring, and document lessons learned.
• Coordinate error handling and ensure the flow of information with departments including production, engineering, and development, as well as across plants worldwide.
• Document quality topics in the system.
• Independently plan, manage, and control projects within your area of responsibility.
• Participate in the planning and execution of quality approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in cross-departmental and cross-plant collaboration, particularly with development departments and committee work.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.
• Experience with Mercedes-Benz or other automotive products and processes, including bodyshop and assembly.
• Knowledge of quality management tools.
• Analytical, strategic, and conceptual skills.
• Team spirit.
• Independent, goal-oriented, and results-driven work style.
