How you’ll play your part
You will lead a project team in delivering solutions to customers according to approved project plans, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule and scope while providing status reports and advice to management and user groups.
Main accountabilities
- Manage project initiation, including scope, resourcing, cost estimation and stakeholder approval.
- Construct high-level and detailed project plans, including interdependencies with other activities.
- Lead, monitor and control project scope, cost, schedule, quality, deliverables, change, risks and escalated issues.
- Determine project quality goals and ensure compliance with Mercedes-Benz standards.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to project teams and manage project resources and subcontractors.
- Manage suppliers, including evaluation, standards compliance and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate architecture, design and development activities through suppliers or internal resources.
- Ensure required documentation is delivered to agreed standards and policies.
- Manage and report project budgets and resource utilisation.
- Establish communication plans and provide formal and regular project updates to sponsors, stakeholders, customers and leadership.
- Manage stakeholder communication through steering committee meetings and project updates.
- Provide test and release plans, manage user acceptance testing and obtain approval of deliverables.
- Manage operational handover, project closure and lessons learned.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, UK business partners, Head Office and external service providers.
About you
- Knowledge of the automotive captive finance market.
- Ability to apply project management disciplines and processes.
- Ability to anticipate, analyse and resolve project-related problems.
- Ability to identify, eliminate or contain technical and business risks.
- Experience with organisational development and project methodologies.
- Commercial and business acumen, with an understanding of organisational change.
- Strong leadership, communication, customer-facing, presentation, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing tasks and operate in changing environments with ambiguity.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
