Job Summary
We are looking for a strong tech Program Manager to join our IT Financial Services Product Development teams within the Mercedes-Benz Tech India team at MBRDI, part of the global IT tech network.
We develop and maintain mobility products such as Credit Platform and Credit Risk Digital, which offer scoring solutions for individuals and businesses. We also develop customer-facing solutions such as Customer Portal for AAP and EUR markets, as well as other products in the Mercedes-Benz Automotive Mobility space.
Key Skills
- Expertise in software engineering, with experience in product development, implementation, and support.
- Experience handling large and complex transformational programs with cross-functional teams across different geographies.
- Excellent people management skills and the ability to build and lead highly engaged, motivated teams.
- End-to-end management of assigned projects and programs, including planning, delivery, risk management, client interaction, troubleshooting, and team utilization tracking.
- Experience driving digitalization projects using metrics and KPIs for data-driven decisions.
- Ability to contribute to innovation and business value through topics such as generative AI.
- Cross-cultural awareness, empathy, and active support for diversity and inclusion.
- Experience managing teams and budgets, including operative planning, project planning, and rotation plans.
- Ability to resolve complex department-wide operational problems.
- Ability to define and establish functional procedures and policies, including QMS.
- Commitment to practicing company compliance guidelines within the area of responsibility.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Experience working in Agile development teams with exposure to Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong IT application program management skills; PMI or equivalent certification or relevant experience is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as an IT program manager.
- Experience structuring frameworks and approaches for complex problem solving; experience with LEAN processes is strongly preferred.
- Experience working successfully in large, complex, fast-paced organizations.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent English communication skills; German language skills are an advantage.
- Proficiency in standard office software and reporting applications.
- Advanced MS Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with enterprise application architecture, design, and development using technologies such as .NET, .NET Core, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, DevSecOps, Azure, SQL Server or Oracle, and Git.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
