Tasks

Objective of job

Lead end-to-end program management of driver assistance and automated driving and parking systems within the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) Domain, ensuring timely, cost-efficient, and quality-compliant delivery across the full development lifecycle.

Steer cross-functional collaboration across R&D, Purchasing, Controlling, Product Management, Aftersales, Legal, Regulatory, and other relevant functions to drive aligned decision-making, robust system integration, and successful feature roll-out.

Drive the execution and localization of ADAS and automated driving functions in China by defining strategies, processes, and lifecycle measures in alignment with company objectives, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.

Act as the central interface between Mercedes-Benz Group China Ltd. and Mercedes-Benz AG to enable seamless coordination of global and local activities, securing consistent program execution and contributing to the realization of intelligent driving and parking solutions for the China market.

Main tasks

Steer core programs for driver assistance and automated driving and parking systems.
Lead planning and execution across concept, development, validation, and launch.
Align targets, milestones, deliverables, and risks with internal and external partners.
Ensure transparent status, decisions, and escalations for stakeholders.
Maintain core program documents and steering materials in line with the Plan of Records.
Align targets, implementation plans, and business cases with internal functions and external partners.
Define and steer key milestones, align cross-platform and cross-carline timelines, and coordinate release readiness and SOP or feature launch.
Define and optimize processes, standards, and governance for driver assistance and automated driving and parking programs.
Support efficient coordination between German and China teams.
Drive continuous improvement in program management, technical concepts, and cross-functional collaboration for driver assistance and automated driving and parking systems and E/E architecture.

Qualifications

University master’s degree or equivalent in Industrial or Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or Technology, or Business Administration.
Excellent learning ability in new trends and knowledge.
5+ years of experience in ADAS program management in an international automotive environment or relevant companies.
Fluent English speaking and writing.
Strong motivation for new automotive technologies and digital or intelligent vehicles, good business sense, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to work agilely under uncertainty and pressure.
Project management skills, including steering sophisticated projects with complex cross-functional work packages and delivering high-quality results while maintaining key milestones.
Experience creating management presentations aligned with overall targets and strategy.
Knowledge of in-car operating system development processes, E/E architecture basics, competitor environments, ecosystem players, and potential regulatory and legal constraints is a plus.
OEM E/E architecture project management experience and automotive digital product and services strategy definition experience are a plus.
Fluent German speaking and writing is a plus.
