Engineer, Model Based Engineering

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India is seeking Model Based Development Engineers with 1–3 years of experience and a strong technical background in Model Based Engineering.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop AUTOSAR-based Simulink and TargetLink models according to MAAB guidelines and good software engineering practices.
• Perform requirement analysis.
• Develop test specifications and perform code coverage, model quality, and model validation activities using MIL and SIL to ensure models are bug-free and follow model guidelines.

Basic Qualification and Desired Skills / Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in automotive model-based development, including model development, debugging, and auto-code generation using MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and TargetLink.
• Good understanding of AUTOSAR architecture and AUTOSAR-based model development.
• Proficiency in C programming, MATLAB scripting, and Python scripting.
• Knowledge of MAAB guidelines and experience with MXAM and MXRAY.
• Preferred domain experience in HVAC, ADAS, power management, or related areas.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as PVCS, SVN, and GIT.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS and PREEvision.
• Good understanding of Model-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop simulation; Processor-in-the-Loop experience is preferred.
• Ability to analyze static code analysis results and perform manual code reviews to identify software security vulnerabilities.
• Experience with Confluence and Jira is appreciated.
• Basic exposure to AI and machine learning.
• Good communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively as a team player.
• Experience in the automotive field and exposure to multicultural environments are additional advantages.
• Basic knowledge of German is preferred.
