Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. (MBUSI) produces GLE, GLE Coupe, and GLS sport utility vehicles, including electric vehicles, at its advanced manufacturing facility in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.

Purpose of the Position: To produce greener, more efficient, safer, and more fascinating Mercedes luxury SUV models, including electric vehicles.

Essential Functions

• Work as a member of the Production Team and be assigned different work tasks as production or other needs require.
• Bend, twist, lift, stand, walk, reach, see, move, and hear as required by the specific position.
• Assembly: Assemble luxury and electric vehicles at assigned workstations on a moving assembly line using hand tools, power tools, assist devices, and production fixtures.
• Body: Load metal body components into automated welding equipment to form body sub-assemblies.
• Paint: Perform sealer application, sanding, and paint spray processes to prepare vehicles for assembly.
• Battery: Assemble new-technology, high-voltage battery systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Preferred one to three years of industrial experience.
• Must follow and pass the AIDT sign-up, hands-on assessment, and interview process.
• Must be present and able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
