Production Engineer 3

As a Production Engineer 3, you will improve production capacity, quality, and reliability while managing continuous improvement processes to create a Lean Manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate problems, analyze root causes, and derive resolutions using the 8D Problem Solving Process.
• Develop operational strategies to achieve production and financial objectives.
• Assure product and process quality through testing methods, standards, and manufacturing process validation.
• Design, document, and implement medium- to large-scale manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate production activities and drive improvements, cost reductions, and automation initiatives.
• Develop planning standards, methods, and procedures, including ergonomic workplace planning.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to manufacturing engineers and team members.
• Manage medium-scale projects and potentially large capital investment projects exceeding $5 million.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in automotive Body in White, Paint, or Assembly operations.
• Hands-on programming experience in booths or work cells.
• PLC experience with OMRON, Allen-Bradley, or Siemens.
• Hands-on experience with offline simulations and 3D CAD tools such as Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and computer-controlled systems.
• Experience with motor drives, sensors, AC/DC converters, encoders, lifts, conveyors, and related process devices.
