Department Overview

Engineering Services supports the pre-sales and after-sales business components of MBUSA and various quality organizations within Mercedes-Benz AG. The team provides technical support and quality-focused customer service to dealers, consumers, MBUSA, Mercedes-Benz AG and external providers.

Responsibilities

The Junior Associate Consultant will be embedded within the Product Technical Support team and interface with engineers. The role will assist with fleet management, vehicle servicing and root cause analysis.

• Assist product technical support service engineers in identifying, tracking and resolving issues in Mercedes-Benz model lines sold and serviced in the US market.
• Participate in component-level teardown and root cause analysis.
• Interface with other MBUSA business units on behalf of Product Technical Support to support dealers and products.
• Perform pre-delivery inspection of new fleet vehicles.
• Maintain current test and buyback fleets.

Qualifications

Applicants must currently be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program or have graduated no more than 12 months before the internship start date. Availability from September 2026 to February 2026 and a maximum of 28 hours per week are required. Proof of proficiency and automotive dealership experience are required.

Preferred skills include working knowledge of Microsoft Office, a strong technical mindset, automotive diagnostics experience, Power BI and dashboard development, database and data management, reporting and interpretation, and strong oral and written technical communication skills.
