About us

At Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, our employees are at the heart of our business. We provide financial solutions designed around the changing needs of our diverse customers and support an inclusive culture where everyone has equal opportunity to learn and develop.

How you’ll play your part

You will support the development and delivery of commercially robust pricing proposals, business cases and product initiatives. The role combines pricing and analytical capability with commercial judgement to help the business evaluate opportunities, make informed decisions and deliver agreed outcomes.

You will support and, where appropriate, take ownership of defined pricing deliverables and smaller projects from initial scoping through to implementation and review. Success depends on building effective relationships across the business, Mercedes-Benz entities and the distributor network, constructively challenging assumptions and translating complex analysis into clear recommendations.

Main accountabilities

Pricing-led business cases and commercial analysis

  • Lead the pricing workstream for business cases, product changes and commercial initiatives.
  • Develop and test commercial assumptions with Finance, Risk, Sales and other subject-matter experts.
  • Build base-case, upside and downside scenarios supported by sensitivity and break-even analysis.
  • Consider financial, customer, distributor, operational and regulatory implications of pricing decisions.
  • Convert analysis into concise recommendations highlighting value drivers, trade-offs, risks and decision points.
  • Monitor initiatives after implementation and compare actual performance with business-case assumptions.

Project and deliverable management

  • Coordinate and manage smaller pricing, product or commercial projects and defined work packages.
  • Define and document scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones and responsibilities.
  • Track actions, decisions, risks and dependencies, escalating material decisions and delivery risks appropriately.
  • Support testing, communications, training and post-implementation review where required.

Stakeholder management and influence

  • Build trusted relationships across Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations and Credit.
  • Work with Mercedes-Benz entities, service providers, distributors and retailer representatives.
  • Facilitate workshops and working groups, ensuring objectives, decisions, owners and next steps are clear.
  • Present technical or financial information clearly to operational colleagues, senior leaders and external partners.

Pricing governance

  • Maintain pricing models, assumptions, controls and documentation.
  • Apply governance and approval requirements to pricing recommendations and business cases.
  • Consider customer outcomes, fair value, conduct risk and regulatory requirements.
  • Use management information and market insight to identify trends, anomalies, risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of pricing tools, processes, data quality and decision-making.

About you

Essential:

  • Experience in pricing, commercial analysis, finance, product, business analysis or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience contributing to business cases, commercial proposals or structured recommendations.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends and draw practical conclusions.
  • Experience coordinating deliverables involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in automotive, financial services or another regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of retail finance products or pricing principles.
  • Awareness of FCA Consumer Duty, product governance or fair value requirements.
  • Experience using data visualisation or business intelligence tools.
  • Relevant professional qualification or equivalent practical experience.

Benefits

Benefits include a competitive salary and discretionary bonus structure, colleague car schemes, a pension scheme, a flexible benefits pot, wellbeing resources, an Employee Assistance Programme, flexible working opportunities and development support.
