Mercedes-Benz Vans is seeking a Process Engineer for an expatriate position supporting the planning, commissioning, and ramp-up of a new body shop at the Jawor site in Poland.

As part of the Operations Engineering department, you will connect development, suppliers, quality, and production centers while helping establish a local body shop planning team.

Responsibilities

Support and train the new local team in planning and executing the project.
Maintain a global network with Mercedes-Benz body shop experts.
Steer and review supplier activities according to ECM and project timelines.
Communicate project status and upcoming milestones transparently.
Establish planning processes for new product projects and series tasks.
Take ownership, remain flexible, and contribute to strong teamwork.

Ideal experience

Experience planning body shop processes and ramping up a body shop.
Experience integrating variants into a running system and completing systems through final buy-off.
A strong network within the Mercedes-Benz body shop planning organization.
Knowledge of Integra and ECM.
Experience leading interdisciplinary workshops with quality management, logistics, maintenance, and production.

Qualifications

University degree in mechanical engineering, production technology, or similar education.
Several years of professional experience in body shop production planning.
Proven project management experience.
Analytical and strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach.
Teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strong problem-solving skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset and openness to change.
Fluent English and German; Polish is desirable.
