Principal Software Engineer

As a Principal Software Engineer within Nike's Corporate Functions Digital Employee Experience organization, you will design and deliver scalable, reliable platforms that power critical digital and data products. You will collaborate with engineers, product leaders, UX designers, architecture, AI/ML, governance, and business stakeholders across globally distributed teams.

Who We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• 5+ years designing and leading technical projects.
• Strong written and technical communication skills and a record of driving technical best practices.
• Deep knowledge of AWS serverless services, including Lambda, CloudFront, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora RDS, S3, SNS, and SQS.
• Expertise in Node.js with TypeScript, React, and Terraform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with SailPoint IdentityIQ API, MSGraph API, Databricks, MCP Servers, Copilot Studio, and Cursor.
• Ability to create architectural diagrams using Lucid.
• Understanding of enterprise integrations with third-party applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners.

• Build and deliver scalable software solutions focused on Digital Employee Experience.
• Design, implement, and integrate new technologies and evolve employee experience platforms.
• Contribute across ingestion, transformation, and consumption while building reusable frameworks, automated workflows, and libraries.
• Lead architecture and design discussions for high-volume data sets and complex enterprise integrations.
• Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, interactive web experiences.
• Advise engineering leaders on technology strategy, system design, and technical best practices.
• Guide and mentor engineering teams and drive alignment on engineering standards and culture.
• Build and scale enterprise integrations with third-party applications.
