Mercedes-Benz is known worldwide for cars that uniquely combine design and innovation. The Design division plays a decisive role in this. The Visualization / CGI team develops visual experiences for the vehicles of tomorrow, focusing on the creative design and production of high-end CGI images, animations and films for automotive design processes and design communication.

During the internship, you will work closely with designers, CGI artists and other creatives.

• Developing and producing high-end visualizations of digital vehicle and design models
• Creative image design, look development and visual storytelling
• Designing and building virtual environments, scenes and atmospheres for image and film productions
• Developing new visual concepts, visual languages and design visuals
• Creating animations and presentations for design and communication projects
• Using modern CGI workflows with Blender, Unreal Engine, Apple Vision Pro, AI tools and other visualization technologies

The internship can begin in October 2026.

Qualifications

• Studies in transportation design, industrial design, communication design, media design, CGI, animation or a comparable creative field
• Passion for creating images, films and visual experiences
• Strong interest in design, aesthetics, photography, film and visual communication
• Enjoyment of expressing ideas, moods and stories through images
• Experience with Blender, Unreal Engine or comparable 3D software
• Knowledge of Autodesk VRED is an advantage
• Confident use of Adobe Creative Cloud
• Creativity, initiative and enthusiasm for working in interdisciplinary teams
