Tasks

Mercedes-Benz AG produces premium and luxury passenger cars and vans. At the Mercedes-Benz Plant Rastatt, the body shops produce bodies for the A-Class, GLA, EQA and the new CLA. The Z3 and Joining Technologies team is responsible for producing add-on parts in flexible cells, providing exposure to automated body production technologies and processes.

As an intern, you will support production activities and gain insight into highly efficient manufacturing with demanding quality standards.

• Support operating engineers in achieving quality and availability targets in ongoing series production
• Participate in daily shopfloor meetings
• Support the preparation, coordination and execution of production trials
• Help optimize production equipment and workflows, particularly during commissioning for successor model series
• Contribute to planning and standardizing production technologies such as resistance spot welding, laser brazing, stud welding, bonding and clinching
• Use digital analysis and evaluation tools

The internship can begin in October 2026.

Qualifications

• Degree programme in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable field
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken
• Confident use of MS Office
• Commitment and ability to work in a team
• Analytical and independent working style
• Reliability and self-motivation
