Tasks

China is the biggest passenger car market for Mercedes-Benz R&D China, and the company strives to provide China-fit products with China speed. Under this background, more development responsibility for drivetrain parts will be in MB China.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Developing Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) performance of powertrain systems, including ICE, hybrid, and BEV.
Ensuring competitive vehicle NVH quality aligned with project targets and customer expectations.
Integrating powertrain systems and fulfilling system NVH requirements.
Communicating and aligning development targets with suppliers according to Mercedes-Benz standards.
Simulating NVH performance according to Mercedes-Benz standards.
Verifying and validating engines and powertrains on dyno and in vehicles according to Mercedes-Benz standards.
Monitoring development plans and granting R&D release according to project timelines.
Leading engine and powertrain lifetime NVH-related changes, issue resolution, optimization, cost reduction, and new variant development according to Mercedes-Benz standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in automotive, mechanical, or acoustics/vibration engineering.
More than five years of powertrain development or NVH engineering experience in ICE, e-motor, or drivetrain systems.
Strong knowledge of NVH fundamentals, powertrain systems, NVH system thinking, and cross-functional integration.
Experience with LMS, Test.Lab, HEAD acoustics, and CAE tools such as ANSYS, HyperWorks, or AMESim.
Strong problem-solving capability, technical ownership, accountability, and structured analytical thinking.
Cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to drive critical issue resolution under pressure.
Good spoken and written English; German language skills are preferable.
