Position Summary
The Valet-Parking Attendant services guests around the hotel in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner. The Valet Attendant is a key member of the front drive and arrival team, responsible for providing exceptional hospitality in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities include safely parking and retrieving guest and visitor vehicles, assisting guests with luggage during check-in and check-out, and assisting with and checking luggage as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate, read, and comprehend written materials and write in English; additional languages are valuable.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Strong guest communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of hotel services and local area events and activities.
- Ability to drive vans, limousines, and automobiles.
- Excellent driving record as verified by a Motor Vehicle Report.
- Ability to process luggage tags and claim checks.
- Ability to lift or carry luggage and packages up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions, including high heat.
- Ability to run short distances to retrieve vehicles and perform duties requiring standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle report for three years, with annual renewals.
- Good driving record and knowledge of basic vehicle functions.
- Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Knowledge of applicable state driving laws.
- Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn in an evolving work environment.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work beyond scheduled hours when necessary.
- Multitasking skills and telephone etiquette.

Associates are expected to maintain professional and courteous interactions with guests and colleagues, meet resort standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance, adapt to changes, learn new skills, solve routine problems, and follow safety and security policies.
