NVH Integration Engineer

Objective
Ensure that vehicles fulfill Mercedes-Benz standards regarding overall vehicle NVH, aero and sound performance for Chinese customers.
Tasks
- Derive and implement China-specific requirements in cooperation with other R&D departments.
- Align and define NVH component and vehicle integration, sound and aero-acoustic performance targets, and develop measures with R&D China and the global R&D network.
- Communicate and drive implementation of China-specific NVH, sound and aero-acoustic performance in vehicle projects.
- Prepare and align NVH component and vehicle integration, sound and aero-acoustic release documentation.
- Develop, adjust and validate NVH, sound and aero-acoustic testing procedures for major use cases in China.
- Identify customer-related parameters through field research, customer observation and feedback.
- Plan and conduct vehicle, component, sound and aero-acoustic testing in China.
- Coordinate tests on test benches and facilities, organize evaluation and management drives, and create test reports.
- Document, reproduce and analyze issues, and report failure-solving status through issue-tracking platforms.
Qualifications
University degree in acoustic or aero-acoustic engineering, mechanical or automotive engineering, or a similar engineering qualification.
- Experience at OEMs or suppliers in NVH, preferably involving functional noise sources from thermal systems, e-powertrain, chassis actuators, comfort systems, electronics/ADAS and sound systems.
- Understanding of market-specific sound and vibration comfort preferences and benchmarking.
- Familiarity with the Chinese automotive supplier landscape and vehicle development processes.
- Strong expertise in functional noise optimization and NVH fundamentals.
- Experience with excitation, transfer and radiation paths, root-cause analysis, objective and subjective evaluation, and noise optimization measures.
- Proficiency with NVH data acquisition and analysis tools such as Simcenter Testlab and ArtemiS SUITE.
- Experience with advanced noise mitigation approaches including EOC and RNC.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, planning and organizational skills.
- Fluent English and Chinese are mandatory; German is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within China and internationally, plus good driving skills.
