Purpose of the role
- Data Governance & Compliance: Developing policies for data handling, security, and privacy to reduce risk.
- Data Quality & Integrity: Implementing validation rules to ensure data is consistent, clean, and reliable.
- Team Leadership: Supervising data analysts, data operators, or stewards, and managing project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Ensures high quality data and makes sure that data is properly used throughout the Romania OpCo, within accurate analysis, business insights and data-driven business decisions.
- Manages and drives day-to-day integrity and quality of data created or updated in line with local and global data standards.
- Shares, drives and follows up on clear data quality standards, policies and processes with data owners to ensure implementation in the business functions.
- Uses the developed quality tracking tools, monitors the data and collaborates with and drives the business to improve its quality and to better use the data.
- Collaborates with local Data Owners and the Global D&T organization on data management standards and tooling.
- Partakes in projects to offer expertise on data quality, ensure the correct use of data, and implement data ownership in new projects, tools, and business processes regarding data management, data governance, and data quality.
- Supports the Data, Reporting & Analytics Manager in identifying the types of data needed to meet business objectives, defining the required quality levels, and following up on maintaining those levels.
Qualifications
- Required: Experience with data management tools.
- Nice to have: Basic Power BI usage and SQL queries.
Experience
1–3 years in similar roles.
Skills and abilities
- Communication: Translating technical data insights into actionable business insights for stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
- Project management: Organizing data projects, coordinating teams, and adhering to deadlines.
Technical skills and operating systems
SAP, Mendix, Colibra, PowerMe, internal reporting platforms, SQL queries, joins and data aggregations, and understanding of ETL principles and data flow.
