Tasks
- Treasury / Financial Settlements through GTS
- Ensure formal and plausibility checks of captured deal data and matching of loan agreements with captured deal data.
- Send confirmations to internal and external trading partners through SWIFT or email and match confirmations with counter-confirmations.
- Analyze unmatched confirmations, categorize differences, and review them with internal and external process partners.
- Monitor financial contracts, including loan agreement maturity dates, nominal and interest payments, and fixing for floating-rate deals.
- Adjust standard settlement instructions, conduct reconfirmation processes, and perform month-end fixing and settlement of commodities.
- Release financial contracts for bookings and payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate settlements within bank cutoff times for FX, money market, interest rate, cross-currency interest rate swap, commercial paper, EMTN, IC transfers, and subsidiary payments.
- Provide accurate static data for countries and counterparties, including settlement instructions and confirmation contacts.
- Set up SSI details from banks and verify and confirm treasury deals in treasury systems.
- Documentation of Settlement Process
- Ensure filing and proper record-keeping of relevant documents and log exceptions and deviations for audit and management review.
- Support statutory audits and yearly external audit confirmations for entities within the Treasury Settlement scope.
- Projects
- Support SWIFT implementation and updates for applicable countries.
- Support UAT testing and other GTS-related improvements.
- Compliance
- Support ICS testing for relevant settlement controls.
- Generate and submit end-of-day reports when required.
- Ensure compliance with financial market regulations such as EMIR, including portfolio reconciliation and other risk mitigation techniques.
Qualifications
- University degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- CTP or a similar treasury certification is advantageous.
- At least 10–15 years of work experience in Treasury, especially Settlements.
- Hands-on experience driving digital initiatives and an interest in technology and automation.
- Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English; German is optional.
