Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
The Deployment team ensures that the right products are available at the right place and time across the European distribution network. As a Deployment Manager, you will own the end-to-end governance, execution, and continuous improvement of the Stock Transfer Requisition (STR) to Stock Transfer Order (STO) process across the European supply chain network.
You will lead intra-network inventory deployments, balancing customer demand, inventory availability, capacity constraints, and transportation costs while aligning decisions with business priorities and long-term supply chain strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- STR/STO Process Ownership & Governance: Own the end-to-end STR to STO process for Europe, define governance standards and KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and lead cross-functional alignment on inventory balancing and stock movement priorities.
- S/4HANA Process Leadership: Serve as business process owner for STR/STO in S/4HANA, leading requirements definition, solution reviews, testing, UAT, defect prioritization, go-live readiness, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
- Deployment Planning & Execution: Govern the deployment orderbook and inventory transfer pipeline, lead daily and weekly planning, optimize Multi-Node Replenishment, oversee STR creation and STO conversion, and manage exceptions and disruptions.
- Performance & Financial Management: Monitor service, inventory productivity, fulfillment, lead time, and cost KPIs; track STO costs; provide reporting and insights; and lead corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with Demand Planning, Product Supply, Distribution Centers, Fulfillment, Finance, Digital, and IT teams, facilitate governance forums, and support team capability development.
- Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement: Develop network inventory and deployment strategies and lead projects involving process simplification, automation, cost optimization, service improvement, analytics, reporting, and system capabilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management and inventory deployment processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders.
- Project management and change management experience.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable process and system solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and supply chain analytics tools.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Deployment, Inventory Management, Planning, or Logistics.
- Experience owning or leading cross-functional business processes.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and driving process improvements.
- Experience with SAP and S/4HANA, project leadership, change management, and system implementations is preferred.
