We are looking for a Mainframe IMS Specialist to support and maintain IBM IMS environments running on IBM z/OS. You will work on administration, support, optimization, and ongoing improvement of business-critical Mainframe systems while collaborating with global teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain IMS DB and IMS TM/DC environments.
- Assist with installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor system performance and help identify optimization opportunities.
- Troubleshoot incidents and contribute to problem resolution.
- Participate in change implementations and system enhancements.
- Support automation, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Contribute to backup, recovery, and availability processes.
Skills & Experience
Experience in Mainframe environments and exposure to technologies including IBM z/OS, IMS DB, IMS TM/DC, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, DBRC, VSAM, REXX or other scripting tools, monitoring and scheduling tools, performance tuning, and backup and recovery concepts.
Additional experience with DB2, IBM MQ, COBOL, PL/I, Java, CICS, or automation initiatives is advantageous.
