Shift: Day Shift, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM

Pay Rate: $28.75 hourly

Purpose

Supports the operations leadership team by contributing to labor allocation, leading meetings, assigning job duties, coaching for success, creating a safe and collaborative work environment, and driving process improvement. The role is highly technical and requires strong problem-solving skills. Leads work closely with department supervisors to monitor workflows, manage dwells, and drive overall shift performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Operations Supervisor to lead a team of up to 50 hourly associates.
  • Use warehouse tools, including radio frequency handheld units (RF guns) and computer kiosks, to update transactions within the warehouse management system and log activities in the Labor Management module.
  • Follow and role-model all standard operating procedures.
  • Train and coach associates to achieve operational goals and service levels.
  • Mentor and develop teammates for current and future career opportunities.
  • Develop and share best practices.
  • Foster a positive team environment that encourages insights and feedback, process improvement, adaptability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly working environment.
  • Identify, report, and follow up on property damage or safety concerns.
  • Participate in Lean Six Sigma activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a large group of coworkers.

  • Strong knowledge of distribution center operations, including storage methods and material flow.
  • Performance- and metrics-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and working knowledge of warehouse management system principles.

Essential Functions

  • Work regularly in a warehouse environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, and use fingers, hands, arms, and feet for handling, gripping, lifting, operating, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Occasionally lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work safely on elevated surfaces, including a second-level mezzanine.
  • Reliably attend work and scheduled hours.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of related distribution experience and/or training.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
