Data Modeller: Job Description

Core Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data modeling and data analysis, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Financial domain knowledge is a plus.
• Strong understanding of cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake and data modeling using Data Vault 2.0.
• Experience with Data Lakehouse concepts and big data sources and tools including Hive, S3, Trino and HUE.
• Experience in complex data modeling programs involving 100+ entities or tables across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience designing normalized, denormalized, relational, dimensional, star and snowflake schemas using tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio and Toad Data Modeler.
• Experience with big data and cloud databases including Hive, Redshift and Snowflake, as well as Oracle, SQL Server and DB2.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, project managers, business users, application developers, DBA teams and Data Governance teams to analyze requirements, design, develop and deploy technical solutions.
• Experience implementing Bill Inmon and Ralph Kimball methodologies to design data warehouses.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, data analysis, data profiling, Master Data Management, data quality, data lineage, data dictionaries, data mapping, data policy and data governance.
• Must have at least two hours of overlap with Pacific Time to interact with onsite teams and attend daily stand-up meetings.
