Who You’ll Work With
As an Assortment Planner, you will work closely with key stakeholders across Southeast Asia & India (SEA&I) from Business Planning, Sales, Marketing and Merchandising to determine optimal style depth, maintain franchise health and achieve financial and retail goals. You will lead pre-, in- and post-season assortment planning reviews and share consumer-led insights to shape future planning.
You will also work with the Assortment Planning community on projects, assignments and deliverables within the Nike Direct Planning team and the wider SEA&I Planning Team.
Who We Are Looking For
You should have a comprehensive understanding of retail metrics, buying, forecasting, account management and how these are used across functions to deliver profitable and sustainable growth for Nike. You should be able to interpret sales data to make business-impacting decisions and recommendations, demonstrate commercial acumen and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Degree, such as a Bachelor’s degree, in Business or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant retail experience in merchandise assortment planning, business planning, or demand and supply planning.
- Ability to connect sell-in, sell-through, inventory and business implications, make recommendations, negotiate and influence decisions.
- Experience building and understanding Stock and Sales Plans (SSP), determining optimal style-depth plans and managing KPIs.
- Strong cross-team collaboration and influencing skills in a matrix environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, including advanced Excel, complex formulas and pivot tables.
- Experience with planning software, tools and merchandise management systems is preferred.
What You’ll Work On
- Work with Business Planning, Nike Direct Sales, Merchandising and Marketing teams to determine SKU count targets based on retail strategies and opportunities.
- Ensure plans reconcile with top-line financial plans to maximize consumer demand and drive profitable, sustainable growth.
- Create pre-season Open to Buy investment plans by franchise, classification and gender, incorporating marketing stores, marketplace initiatives, consumer moments, franchise health guidance and fleet movements.
- Forecast and manage allocations for capacity-constrained, intentionally constrained and high-heat or launch products.
- Provide in-season recaps and analysis, identify best and slow sellers, compare performance against forecasts and prior year, and take actions to maximize revenue, margin, franchise health and inventory productivity.
- Recap post-season assortment performance, including weekly sell-through, color performance and SKU productivity.
- Analyze marketing and seasonal-story performance and provide insights for future planning.
- Lead selected projects, assignments and deliverables within the Assortment Planning community.
