Job description

Within LCL’s Legal Affairs Department, we are looking for a Litigation Lawyer to join a dynamic, multi-site team of 10 lawyers on a fixed-term contract.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of civil and criminal litigation cases, excluding collections, acting for and against the bank, and developing litigation strategies in close cooperation with the bank’s lawyers.
  • Serving as legal liaison and advisor to the Compliance and Fraud Departments on anti-money laundering, fraud and regulatory matters.
  • Providing legal advice and assistance to various support departments.

Requirements

Master’s degree in general private law, with options in contract and obligations law, commercial law, banking law and criminal law.

You have experience in banking litigation involving civil and criminal liability. Experience providing legal advice to retail banking networks serving individuals, professionals and businesses would be an advantage.

Required experience: 6–10 years.

You have strong analytical and synthesis skills, good writing ability, and demonstrate rigour, method and organisation. You are also a strong team player.

Good knowledge of office software and legal software is required.
