About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Developer to join the engineering team at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited in Bangalore. The role involves developing web applications and backend services, integrating AI/ML solutions, and contributing to software engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Node.js.
- Build responsive web interfaces using React.js.
- Assist with integrating AI/ML models into production applications.
- Work with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini.
- Support data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation pipelines.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and senior engineers.
- Participate in code reviews and improve code quality and best practices.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Use NX-Open APIs for prototyping, development, and complex solutions.
- Build and deploy projects to test environments and create architecture documentation and specifications.
- Develop UI logic and quick proofs of concept using current technologies.
- Manage customer communication and coordinate technical decision meetings.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- B.E., B.Tech, M.E., or M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Three to six years of relevant experience, preferably in Siemens NX CAD/CAE customization.
- Strong knowledge of C# (.NET), VB, C/C++, scripting, XML, and Siemens NX.
- Very good understanding of NXOpen and UFUNC APIs, including modelling and drafting applications.
- Knowledge of HTML, AI, deep learning, DevOps, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with Visual Studio, UI/Block Styler/WPF, coding standards, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer coordination skills.
