JAVA / Volpay Developer M/F

As a JAVA / VolPay Developer at Azqore, you will design, develop, and implement high-performing payment and messaging solutions using Java technologies and the VolPay platform. You will work with business stakeholders, technical experts, and project managers to deliver scalable solutions for core and digital banking platforms.

Your responsibilities

• Design and develop payment and messaging solutions using Java and VolPay.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Customize and enhance VolPay workflows and integrations for payment schemes including SEPA, SWIFT, and ISO 20022.
• Develop and maintain APIs and interfaces between internal systems and external payment networks.
• Participate in architecture design, solution reviews, and technical documentation.
• Perform code reviews and unit testing, and support functional and user acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot development and production issues related to payment processing and integrations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and DevOps pipelines.
• Provide estimates and deliver high-quality code within committed timeframes.
• Support deployments and post-go-live activities.

Core competencies

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional Java development experience, including Core Java, J2EE, and Spring Framework.
• Strong experience with the VolPay payments platform, including integration, workflow development, and configuration, or a similar payment platform.
• Experience with financial messaging and payment flows, including SWIFT, ISO 20022, SEPA, SIC, MEPS, and HK.
• Experience developing and consuming REST and SOAP APIs for payment and banking applications.
• Knowledge of payment digitalization, PSD2, and fraud detection systems.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and systems integration experience.
• Experience in private banking or financial services is an advantage.
• Knowledge of agile software development and distributed delivery teams.
