Your role
As a Java Software Engineer at Capgemini, you design, build and evolve scalable, high-quality software solutions supporting critical business processes. You work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, maintainable and future-proof applications.
You operate in modern engineering environments at the intersection of cloud, microservices and AI-enabled development practices, contributing across the full software lifecycle while ensuring solutions are secure, reliable and aligned with enterprise standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable software solutions aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through testing, code reviews and engineering best practices.
- Contribute to solution design and provide technical input on architecture and implementation choices.
- Leverage modern tooling and AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity and quality.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering standards.
Your profile
- Strong experience designing and building scalable, maintainable solutions in distributed and cloud-native environments.
- Familiarity with modern software architecture, including microservices and event-driven systems, and principles such as DDD or CQRS.
- Experience with CI/CD and knowledge of containerization and DevOps practices, including Docker, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud and front-end frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English.
