IT Business Analyst

Shape the future of mobility with Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC. The IT Business Analyst actively supports business partners throughout the IT Demand Management process, researches and initiates technical changes, provides advanced IT support, and creates and maintains internal IT processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical IT support during varied and non-routine incidents.
• Analyze client business and functional requirements and connect them with business processes.
• Assess the scope and impact of business needs and assist with formal requirements documentation.
• Develop changes and solutions using programming languages.
• Lead IT changes and releases, including timelines and implementation plans.
• Study the impact and benefits of technology.
• Apply analysis methods, best practices, agile methods, and methodologies.
• Organize and potentially lead workshops to derive target solutions.
• Coordinate IT and business partner areas during solution development, testing, and rollout.
• Support and maintain internal IT processes, including Incident Management, and related documentation.
• Coordinate problem management after incidents, including root cause analysis, countermeasures, and solution planning.
• Provide after-hours or on-call support when required.
• Participate in plant expansion and other projects and attend scheduled team meetings.
• Perform application operations for business systems in the assigned area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge and skills

• Experience in IT Demand Management or Business Consulting.
• Project management experience, including leading projects, major changes, releases, or work packages.
• Basic technical skills such as programming, software engineering, or database administration.
• Excellent communication, presentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of IT security and data security.
• Strong knowledge of incident and problem management.
• Proficiency in agile methodology and principles.
