Tasks
Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is seeking an intern to support cross-functional project management activities at its advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in Alabama. This is a paid internship.
- Gather feedback to prepare reports and presentations for management meetings and standardization efforts.
- Represent the product localization team in cross-functional project meetings related to new vehicle launches.
- Assist the project management team with projects to steer the maturity level of parts, including color evaluations.
- Plan and organize supplier and internal workshops related to model year and new vehicle launches.
- Track standard process KPIs related to project management for model year and new vehicle launches.
- Support development of training materials for systems, reporting applications, and onboarding processes.
- Take on additional projects with independent responsibilities and present findings at various management levels.
- Perform data and system maintenance and support the creation of standard reports.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Currently enrolled at a university or in a gap year between a bachelor's and master's degree.
- Studies outside the United States.
- At least three semesters of study in a relevant field.
- Available for a minimum of six months.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to create reports and PowerPoint presentations and analyze and summarize data.
Preferred skills: Experience with Power BI, project management, and material and manufacturing knowledge.
Preferred start date: February 2027
