Tasks

Assists with preparation of assembly for customized orders. Checks production orders for completeness, compatibility, and accuracy. Performs tests, modifications, and repairs to electrical components of vans during assembly within the line.

Requirements

  • Assists with preparation of assembly orders for customized sizes and checks for completeness and accuracy.
  • Performs routine maintenance and repairs on vans.
  • Removes, installs, diagnoses, repairs, disassembles, and assembles electrical components according to defined procedures.
  • Assembles units according to drawings, sketches, or written directions.
  • Assembles electrical systems according to functional plans and performs moderate mechanical rework when needed.
  • Performs failure analysis and repairs to electrical vehicle parts.
  • Activates and reassembles defective parts, including connectors and wires.
  • Captures VPD data and data related to identified failures and generates daily tally sheets.
  • Works in confined spaces and maintains awareness of hazardous vehicle fluids.
  • Performs function checks, completes production documentation, and participates in team meetings.
  • Uses VANIS to identify correct part numbers and hardware for specific vehicles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Required: 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience, or a relevant certificate and 1+ year of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of relevant experience, or a relevant certificate and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electronics, quality methods, and concepts.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing and manufacturing quality methods.
  • Microsoft Office, including Excel, and QSYS know-how.
