Job Description
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (Linux) with French to join Sopra Steria Polska on a team working with one of its French clients. This role is available to candidates located in Poland who are willing to commute to the Katowice office.
Responsibilities
- Perform 2nd-level support for customer infrastructure and apply solutions to stabilize and refresh customer environments.
- Modify operating system configurations and maintain server services.
- Participate in calls with clients and propose improvements.
- Contact on-site and third-party support in case of hardware incidents.
- Handle incidents, requests and troubleshooting on customer infrastructure.
- Perform regular system and firmware updates.
- Deploy new virtual servers.
- Create and update documentation.
- Train other team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in 2nd-level infrastructure support within enterprise environments.
- Strong administration skills in HP-UX, Linux (SLES) and HPE Ignite.
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESX/ESXi, VMware vSphere administration and virtual server deployments.
- Good knowledge of NetBackup and Rubrik backup solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, including incident and request management.
- French proficiency at B2 level or higher, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers during technical calls and meetings.
