Job Description
We are looking for an Infrastructure Administrator (Linux / Storage Administrator) to join Sopra Steria Polska and support the maintenance, administration, and optimization of enterprise storage environments for our customers. You will help ensure the stability, performance, and availability of storage infrastructure while collaborating with technical teams across Linux and storage platforms.
The position operates within a three-shift schedule: 08:00–16:00, 09:00–17:00, and 12:00–20:00, plus rotational on-call duties outside business hours, including weekly and weekend shifts. Candidates must be located in Poland and open to occasional visits to the Katowice office.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support enterprise storage environments based on NetApp, Dell PowerStore, and Dell Isilon / PowerScale solutions.
- Manage SAN and NAS infrastructures, including storage provisioning, zoning, multipathing, and NFS/CIFS file shares.
- Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability in line with operational standards and SLAs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents and infrastructure issues.
- Perform storage configuration changes, migrations, upgrades, and optimization activities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and technical teams to ensure reliable and secure services.
- Support Linux-based environments related to storage operations and infrastructure maintenance.
- Participate in problem analysis, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Must-have requirements:
- Proven experience in storage administration with hands-on expertise in SAN and NAS environments.
- Practical experience with NetApp, Dell PowerStore, and Dell Isilon / PowerScale solutions.
- Experience in Linux system administration.
- Strong understanding of LUN management, zoning, multipathing, and NFS/CIFS shares.
- Ability to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize storage infrastructures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to document processes and share knowledge effectively.
- Ability to collaborate with distributed technical teams.
- Communicative French and Polish at minimum B1 level.
Nice-to-have requirements:
- Linux or storage-related certifications.
- Experience with storage migrations and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery concepts.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale environments.
- Familiarity with Linux automation or scripting, such as Bash or Python.
