Job Overview
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) supports business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees while maintaining business literacy about the business unit's plans and culture.
Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units.
- Consult with line management and provide HR guidance.
- Support investigations and employee relations activities.
- Resolve employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Coordinate small- to medium-sized projects related to employee relations, recruiting, or other HR topics.
- Provide guidance on employee accountability, performance management, coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Work with management and employees to improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Support hiring, promotions, and transfers.
- Contact candidates, schedule interviews, and create interview questions with hiring managers.
- Collaborate with business managers to define job descriptions and recruitment specifications.
- Provide basic guidance on HR and business topics and escalate matters to topic owners as needed.
- Provide guidance on workforce planning activities and may act as a topic owner within the HR workforce management team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- High-volume recruiting experience preferred.
- Professional HR certification or credential is a plus.
- Knowledge of employment law and legislation, with US and South Carolina employment law preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
