GIS Developer

As a GIS Developer with Capgemini, you will contribute to the design, development, integration, and maintenance of geospatial solutions supporting business and operational needs across multiple industries. You will work with modern GIS platforms, spatial databases, and web mapping technologies to deliver scalable and efficient geospatial applications in an international environment.

Your Role

• Design, develop, and maintain GIS applications and geospatial components based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Build and enhance web mapping solutions using modern GIS technologies and frameworks.
• Develop and optimize spatial data models, services, and workflows.
• Integrate GIS platforms with enterprise applications and external systems.
• Work with spatial databases and ensure data quality, performance, and consistency.
• Develop and maintain APIs, services, and geospatial processing components.
• Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
• Create and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot application issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, project managers, and international delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Profile

• Experience in GIS application development, software engineering, or geospatial technologies.
• Good understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data models, and geospatial workflows.
• Experience with one or several of the following technologies: ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, OpenLayers, GeoServer, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, QGIS, or OpenStreetMap.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, SQL, or other programming languages used in GIS environments.
• Experience working with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in international and multicultural environments.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in GIS, software development, or geospatial solutions.
