Job Responsibilities

  • Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
  • Develop Python automation for integration.
  • Build custom Linux kernels and SDKs using the Android build system.
  • Integrate new packages into existing products based on customer requirements.
  • Integrate upstream and open-source kernel patches into the system.
  • Debug and fix kernel issues, including kernel crashes and kernel package usage problems.
  • Participate in Android board bring-up, driver porting, and kernel debugging.
  • Configure Yocto BitBake packages for projects.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Document high-level and low-level designs, source code, and unit tests.
  • Communicate with partners, suppliers, and team members.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication Technology, or a comparable qualification.

0 to 3 years of experience in software development, with a successful track record of developing software independently.

Mandatory Skills

  • Solid expertise with Android.
  • Android board bring-up.
  • Writing or modifying Linux kernel source code and device trees.
  • Version control and CI/CD using Git, Jenkins, and Jira.
  • QEMU development and configuration, hypervisors and virtualization in embedded contexts, or low-level and middleware hardware abstraction such as VIRTIO.
  • Scripting with Python and Bash.
  • Understanding of Git workflows, API/ABI compatibility, and software porting.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with QNX or other real-time operating systems.
  • Experience with CMake, open-source software, and embedded development.
  • Programming experience using C/C++.
