Functional Design Architect (Body)功能设计架构师（车身）

Objective of job

Define, design, and evolve the body domain system design for next-generation electrical/electronic systems. Design the body-domain E/E control system to deliver user experience, safety, and security while balancing system complexity and cost, enabling software-defined vehicle capabilities through software/hardware decoupling and high abstraction.

Main Tasks

• Identify development trends in body-domain systems, including new technologies and features.
• Design body-domain systems, including I/O, signal and service, safety and security, diagnostics, functional specifications, and performance requirements.
• Lead cross-domain architecture reviews and decision-making.
• Collaborate with system architects, software teams, and ECU suppliers to ensure seamless integration.
• Perform troubleshooting in the body domain to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Contribute to the long-term E/E architecture roadmap.

Qualifications

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in body-domain system design or function design.
• Experience with OEMs or Tier 1 automotive suppliers is strongly preferred.
• Experience delivering body-domain system design in centralized E/E architecture and SOA platforms is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with body-domain system design and performance-critical use cases such as fast wake-up functions, including critical timing analysis.
• Knowledge of body-domain function control logic, I/O control interfaces, and basic control circuits.
• Deep understanding of safety and security concepts and related countermeasures.
• Familiarity with SOA concepts, system abstraction, and API definition.
• Ability to participate in software design discussions with domain expertise.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and other in-vehicle networks, including troubleshooting using interfaces and software logs.
• Familiarity with at least one EEA modeling tool, such as PREEvision or EA.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Strong system-level thinking and an architectural mindset.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in an international and cross-cultural environment.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with zonal architecture and centralized compute platforms.
• Hands-on experience with MB.OS-like platforms or similar software-defined vehicle architecture.
• Knowledge of cloud connectivity and vehicle-to-everything communication.
• Experience in Agile or SAFe development environments.
