Purpose
Act in a leadership capacity to support the sales, profitability, and operational goals for the store by guiding hourly associates in day-to-day procedures and driving store objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Guide daily store operations and hourly associate activities to deliver excellent customer service and maximize sales.
- Provide positive reinforcement, training, and development to hourly associates.
- Conduct individual and small-group training on product knowledge, store activities, job duties, and policies.
- Assist with applicants, new-hire documentation, staffing, labor-cost control, and merchandise displays.
- Use the point-of-sale system and complete sales transactions involving cash, credit, and checks.
- Support product flow, stockroom operations, sales-floor replenishment, shipments, markdowns, and floor changes.
- Perform sales, customer service, merchandising, cashiering, stock-location, and store-upkeep duties while leading by example.
- Resolve customer complaints and returned-merchandise issues and ensure the highest level of adidas service.
- Use and teach selling techniques, including add-on sales and product-technology descriptions.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding and solve problems involving standardized situations.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and a point-of-sale system.
- Good judgment, decision-making, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and overtime during peak periods.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 12 kg and occasionally lift or move up to 34 kg.
Qualifications
Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED. Three to six months of retail experience is preferred.

Maintain a safe and orderly workplace, report accidents and hazards, use required protective equipment, follow company safety policies, and handle hazardous materials, equipment, and processes according to established procedures.
