Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own the logic and data integrity of the service layer. The role primarily uses Kotlin to manage a distributed architecture interfacing with gateway systems and legacy Gorilla services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain high-performance microservices using Kotlin.
• Manage a polyglot database environment, including Managed MongoDB and PostgreSQL for batch processing.
• Implement and maintain authentication flows via GAS and ALICE, managing traffic through Kong Gateway and Ingress Controllers.
• Lead integration of critical systems such as CMDS, GSSN+, and Digital Signature Services.
• Oversee integration of third-party legacy systems via the Gorilla service.
• Support release management in Azure DevOps and incident tracking via ServiceNOW and JIRA.

Technical Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Kotlin.
• Proficiency in MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Kong Gateway, Ingress Controllers, and Azure Storage Accounts.
• Experience connecting disparate systems, including CMDS, ALICE, and GAS.
• Familiarity with Blackduck and secure API design.
• Experience with automation testing using Playwright.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
