Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging (MBHPC) is building a premium, open-access charging network designed for all EV drivers. The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the MBHPC team, reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with functional leadership to establish capital expenditure strategy and manage operating costs and budgets.

What You’ll Do

  • Site Performance: Oversee and optimize the financial performance of individual charging locations through trend analysis and P&L reporting.
  • Pricing Strategy: Develop recommendations based on site performance analysis to inform Consumer Offerings’ pricing strategy.
  • Energy Cost Management: Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Energy Management teams to analyze data and optimize utility tariffs.
  • Financial Performance Analysis: Produce models to project long-term cost management progress and analyze financial and operational results to improve site performance.
  • Site Underwriting: Evaluate the economic viability of proposed sites using standard and non-standard inputs for EV charging infrastructure deployment.
  • Process Improvement: Review site performance management processes and procedures and develop recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Recommended majors include accounting, business administration, and economics.
  • Two or more years of FP&A experience, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and business performance reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience providing recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of COGS, gross margins, and revenue recognition principles.
  • Experience with Excel, Power BI, and other data analysis and financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
