Job description

Risk and Permanent Control is part of the Risk and Permanent Control business line of Crédit Agricole S.A. Its teams identify, analyse, measure and control counterparty, market, country, portfolio and operational risks.

Within the Corporate and Structured Sectors department, you will join a team of analysts responsible for LBO and TMT financing risks, covering Telecom, Media and Technology.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing the risks of groups, counterparties and transactions proposed by the business lines.
  • Issuing risk opinions on financing requests and annual reviews.
  • Preparing financial analyses for financing requests and annual reviews.
  • Presenting files to management and participating in credit committees.
  • Assigning or validating internal ratings for groups and counterparties, ensuring correct application of internal rating methodologies.
  • Entering and checking data in Phidias, Eurecca and Dafné, and following up on anomalies.
  • Supporting the business lines in developing and updating commercial strategies in line with the bank’s risk appetite.
  • Highlighting risks arising from these strategies and helping monitor exposures and identify deterioration or concentration issues at an early stage.
  • Managing activity portfolios across geographic, industrial, commitment and client dimensions, including annual portfolio reviews.

Qualifications and experience

  • Postgraduate degree equivalent to a Master’s degree, from a leading business school or university.
  • Three to five years of experience in credit analysis, structured finance and/or corporate and investment banking.
  • Technical and/or sector knowledge of TMT is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of credit and financial analysis, structured finance techniques and/or banking products.
  • Strong writing, analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Knowledge of credit law and guarantees.
  • Rigorous, organised, autonomous and able to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to present and defend recommendations to a credit committee.
  • Good command of office tools and fluent English.
