Failure Analysis Process Engineer

About the role

Mercedes-Benz Vans is expanding its battery-electric light commercial vehicle production capacity with a new plant next to its existing facility in Jawor. The Prevention, Failure Analysis & QM-System Team in the Quality Department analyzes and corrects failures in series production, manages quality approvals, and supports Quality System topics.

Tasks

• Independently conduct complex analyses on product and process issues.
• Initiate corrective actions and manage them through implementation, effectiveness monitoring, and documenting lessons learned.
• Coordinate error handling and ensure information flow with production, engineering, development, and plants worldwide.
• Document quality topics in the system.
• Independently plan, manage, and control projects within your area of responsibility.
• Participate in planning and executing quality approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in cross-departmental and cross-plant collaboration, particularly with development departments and committee work.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.
• Experience with Mercedes-Benz or other automotive products and processes, including Bodyshop and Assembly.
• Knowledge of quality management tools.
• Analytical, strategic, and conceptual skills.
• Team spirit and an independent, goal-oriented, results-driven work style.
