Objective of job:

Experienced Exterior Engineer for illuminated feature development.
Develop China-unique parts together with local suppliers in China, verify results in collaboration with the R&D headquarters in Germany and in own vehicle test programs.
Coordinate and realize localization work for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, including MMA, EVA2 and MB EA.
Support change management of exterior parts of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars.

Education

Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive Engineering or a related major.

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in lighting development at an OEM or lighting supplier.
At least two completed lighting development projects.

Specific knowledge

Good knowledge of digital circuits, lighting structure development and evaluation regarding luminous intensity distribution, heat distribution, vibration and tightness.
Good knowledge of CAD and CAL software, preferably Siemens NX, as well as Speos, LucidShape, Altium design layout and FloEFD.
Good knowledge of automotive lighting development processes, test validation, regulations and homologation.
Familiarity with lighting and electrical/electronic component manufacturing technology and processes.
Good lighting project management and quality management skills.
Native Chinese speaker with fluent English language skills; German is preferred.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel domestically and abroad to prepare and support supplier launches.
