Job Description
We are seeking a capable Embedded Software Verification Engineer with experience in real-time embedded software verification. The ideal candidate will implement verification strategies aligned with verification lifecycles to satisfy DO-178 objectives and provide reliable verification results to certification and development teams.
The role can be onsite in Connecticut, hybrid, or fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Perform verification activities for embedded aerospace and defense systems, including artifact review, test case and test procedure development, analysis, and results compilation.
- Collaborate with hardware, development, and certification teams.
- Ensure verification artifacts comply with DO-178C objectives.
- Apply testing strategies including simulation, integration, target hardware, and Hardware-in-the-Loop environments.
- Implement testing solutions aligned with high- and low-level requirements and maintain accurate traceability.
- Identify, isolate, and analyze verification findings.
- Support verification efforts according to schedules and quality objectives while interfacing with internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical support to junior engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related science, engineering, or mathematics discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in embedded software development or verification.
- Strong understanding of verification methods and strategies.
- Experience with C/C++ or similar embedded languages.
- Experience with Python or equivalent scripting languages.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation skills.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required; dual citizenship should be disclosed.
- Ability to travel approximately up to two weeks per year.
