Tasks and objectives
- Develop and validate Car-IT security concepts and requirements.
- Conduct Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) for vehicle IT systems and components, identifying potential vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
- Specify cybersecurity goals and derive technical security requirements in alignment with ISO/SAE 21434 and other relevant standards.
- Develop and document Car-IT security concepts for in-vehicle and external interfaces.
- Support the release process by providing Car-IT security assessments and signoffs.
- Act as the central contact for Car-IT security topics in global cooperation projects and China-specific development projects.
- Serve as the first interface in the China market, responsible for solving functional-safety-related problems in production and the aftersales market.
- Work globally with Mercedes-Benz R&D China, R&D Germany headquarters, MBRDI India, Mercedes-Benz plants and external suppliers.
- Define technical specifications for future drivetrain software functions.
Qualifications
- Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Automotive or Car-IT security industry experience, with at least 3–5 years of experience at OEMs, suppliers or cybersecurity firms. Graduates may also be considered.
- Experience with cybersecurity in automotive systems, especially ISO/SAE 21434 and GB 44495.
- Fluent English; German is beneficial.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards including ISO/SAE 21434, GB 44495 and NIST.
- Familiarity with automotive system architectures, security lifecycle, threat analysis, Microsoft Office, safety analysis software and requirements management tools.
- Analytical and systematic thinking, self-responsibility, initiative, intercultural competence and communication skills across hierarchy levels.
- Willingness to travel in China and abroad for training and testing.
- Passenger-car driving licence, preferably with at least three years of driving experience.
