Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
As a District Manager Retail, you will oversee the operations and performance of multiple retail stores within a designated geographic area. Your primary objective is to drive sales, achieve financial targets, and ensure an exceptional customer experience in each store under your supervision. You will provide leadership, guidance, and support to store managers and their teams, fostering a culture of excellence and achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Engagement and Development: Define staffing levels, lead Store Manager recruitment, ensure team training, support career development and succession planning, and manage team performance and well-being.
- Consumer Experience: Maintain high customer service standards, address complaints, and promote a welcoming in-store atmosphere.
- Merchandising: Ensure effective product placement, collaborate with Store Managers and Visual Merchandisers, and provide input on consumer trends, categories, seasonality, and store purpose.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance with labor, health and safety, and adidas policies; manage stock controls and shrinkage; execute store visit checklists; and support store openings and closures.
- Premises Management: Provide feedback on maintenance, security, cleaning, store locations, trading zones, competitors, and relocation or opening opportunities. Act as the main contact for retail park managers.
- Financial Management: Ensure store and district financial targets are met through monthly P&L reviews, accountability for sales and operating metrics, and input into budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
- Other Responsibilities: Provide feedback to retail back-office functions, lead omnichannel consumer journey improvements, and visit every store in the district at least three times per quarter.

Requisite Experience and Education / Minimum Qualifications
- Retail experience with demonstrated business management skills and P&L ownership, or comparable business operations experience
- Minimum of 3 years of team leadership experience
- Minimum of 8 years of retail experience, including in-store roles
- University degree in Business, ideally management, marketing, or sales
- Experience working with digital tools and online systems remotely
- Fluency in English and Arabic, as well as the local language; additional languages are desirable
