Director / Sr. Director - Digital Engineering

Your Role

As a Director / Sr. Director, you will lead strategic client engagements, drive growth, and oversee the delivery of large-scale Digital Engineering and Product Engineering transformation programs across the Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Manufacturing, and Oil & Gas industries.

Role Expectations

• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities, including proposals, client presentations, and contract pursuits.
• Partner with clients to identify value creation opportunities through PLM, Manufacturing, AI, GenAI, data, and emerging technologies.
• Develop and drive end-to-end Engineering transformation roadmaps with executive client stakeholders.
• Lead large-scale Product Engineering and Engineering Software transformation programs.
• Define target operating models, governance structures, and execution frameworks.
• Establish and lead PMO, VRO, and governance functions.
• Grow and scale the Digital Engineering practice by attracting, recruiting, and developing talent.
• Build executive-level client relationships and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage project and operational risks and collaborate across Capgemini Invent offerings.
• Drive thought leadership, innovation, and market presence through industry engagement, publications, speaking opportunities, and networking.
• Travel as required for client engagements and business development.

Qualifications & Experience

• 12+ years of consulting, industry, or Digital Engineering leadership experience.
• Experience leading major Product Engineering transformation programs and large Engineering Software engagements.
• Experience designing target operating models, governance frameworks, and transformation execution models.
• Strong experience establishing PMO, VRO, governance, and program management functions.
• Deep understanding of PLM, Manufacturing technologies, and Engineering transformation.
• Demonstrated business development success and experience selling multi-capability consulting engagements.
• Knowledge of AI, GenAI, and data-driven approaches in Engineering and product development.
• Strong executive presence and client relationship skills.
• Experience building, leading, mentoring, and scaling high-performing teams.
• Established network within Digital Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Oil & Gas, or related industries.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $180,000 to $280,000. The role may also be eligible for variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions.
