What you’ll be working on as a SCADA DevOps Engineer for Power Management Systems

As a SCADA DevOps Engineer for Power Management Systems at Capgemini Engineering, you will help maintain and enhance mission-critical infrastructure for a leading European transmission system operator. You’ll work on EMS/SCADA platforms that control high-voltage electricity networks as part of the “Control Room of the Future” initiative.
In this role, you will, or be willing to learn to:
- Monitor and optimize performance of SCADA systems across high-voltage electricity networks.
- Develop automation solutions for upgrades, patches, and configuration management.
- Coordinate incident resolution under pressure, including Priority-one scenarios.
- Maintain runbooks, protocols, and documentation for power management systems.
- Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
Your profile
You have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Several years of experience with SCADA systems in energy or utility environments.
- Knowledge of EMS, energy networks, TSO, high availability, and real-time systems is a plus.
- Strong scripting and automation skills, such as Ansible, and Linux system administration experience.
- Interest in applying modern technologies, including AI-driven tooling where relevant.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and virtualized deployment environments.
- Fluency in Dutch and English, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

- A gross salary of €4,000 to €5,500 per month, excluding a mobility allowance of at least €850 and 8% holiday allowance, based on a 40-hour workweek.
