As a Department Manager at Primark, you will own a department and maximize its sales, inventory, and standards while leading a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

What You’ll Do

• Manage inventory, product movement, planograms, period layouts, and daily merchandise ordering.
• Monitor the local market and maintain a competitive advantage in price, product, and shopping experience.
• Use data to understand department performance, drive sales, meet targets, and maintain stock file accuracy.
• Hire, train, coach, and motivate Sales Associates and Team Leaders.
• Deliver an exceptional shopping experience and a positive work environment.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 2 years of retail leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong commercial acumen, communication, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt priorities, lead and motivate a team, provide constructive feedback, and manage difficult situations.
• Understanding of local markets, competitors, and systems that improve stock control and drive sales.
• Experience supporting store management with the protection of people, property, premises, cash, and stock.
• Keyholder responsibility, including availability for emergency callouts.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with managers, colleagues, and customers.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $62,400-$69,160. Interim Assignment guidelines provide a 10% additional responsibility allowance for promotional opportunities and no change to the existing pay rate for lateral opportunities.
