Department Manager
As a Department Manager at Primark, you will own a department and focus on maximizing sales, inventory, and standards. You will manage inventory, move product according to customer demand, review planograms and layouts, order merchandise, monitor the local market, use performance data to drive sales, meet targets, and maintain stock file accuracy.
You will hire, train, coach, and motivate Sales Associates and Team Leaders to deliver an exceptional customer experience and positive work environment.

What You’ll Bring
- At least 2 years of retail leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and retail experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or Department Manager.
- Adaptability and the ability to flex plans and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to understand customer needs.
- Ability to lead, motivate, inspire, and develop a team.
- Resilience and confidence giving constructive feedback.
- Understanding of the local market, competitors, and systems that improve option control and drive sales.
- Good planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting store management with the protection of people, property, premises, cash, and stock.
- Keyholder responsibility, including availability for emergency callouts.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with managers, colleagues, and customers.
Pay
The pay range for this role is $62,400-$69,160. Promotional opportunities for the interim assignment receive a 10% additional responsibility allowance; lateral opportunities receive no change to the existing pay rate. The base pay offered may vary based on internal equity, geographic region, knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors.
